About Me
I’m Anna Gardiner and I’ve been teaching Visual Arts for 30 years. I studied Fine Arts at Claremont School of Art and achieved a Diploma of Fine Art, with a major in painting and a minor in sculpture. I operated a community art group and taught adults’ painting and ceramic pottery. I love drawing, painting and sculpture and am especially passionate about teaching.
It’s a real gift to work with students and see them grow into confident, independent artists who are ever improving their work.
I’m looking forward to painting with you and developing your painting skills here at my artist studio here in Mount Lawley.

Your choice of subject matter — landscape, still life, floral or portrait
All classes are individual or small group, so we can focus on your goals and your personal art journey. To achieve your goals, oil and acrylic painting classes are held in 5-week blocks.

How do I choose what to paint?
Anna will help guide you in the selection of a suitable image to paint according to your interests and skill level. Students are encouraged to paint large.
How long does it take to complete a painting?
Paintings are usually completed in eight weeks. However, this can be longer due to the complexity of the image and your current skill level.
After I've completed the 8 week painting course, can I keep learning with Anna?
For keen students who wish to continue painting after their first project is finished ongoing classes are available. Just let Anna know!
I'm a FIFO worker/I work shifts, what flexible art class options are there?
Ask Anna about fortnightly classes and casual sessions. Classes are available for people who have shift hours or prefer fortnightly sessions.
Unable to make a class? Let Anna know and she will help find another suitable session.
What materials do I need to purchase for art class? Where can I buy them?
Anna will provide a list of required materials suitable for painting in oils and acrylics. Most materials may be ordered online.
Where will I keep my painting for storage between lessons?
You are able to keep your painting and materials at Anna's studio while doing the painting course.
